Guided tours<\/h1>\n
Welcome to a time travel you will never forget. A guided tour of Carlsten Fortress is an exciting journey that takes you back to bygone times with incomparable stories about prisoners and the hard life at the fortress. <\/h5>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]General information about guided tours<\/strong>
\nDuring June-August, regular guided tours are given in Swedish according to the times above. The tour takes about 45 minutes and ends inside the fortress so that you can then walk around in peace and quiet on your own. The guided tour is included in the entrance fee. NOTE! If you are a larger group that wants to join a regular tour, you must call and notify this in advance. <\/p>\n

Extra guided tours<\/strong>
\nIf you want guided tours at other times than the regular ones or in English, this can be ordered all year round.
\nWe can also arrange historically dressed guides. If you want some type of light refreshment in connection with the tour, it can be pre-ordered. For suggestions and price information contact us.
\n(NOTE! Cancellation of an extra tour must be made at least 24 hours before the booked time otherwise the guide cost will be charged).<\/p>\n

Walk around on your own<\/strong>
\nAfter buying an entrance ticket, you can explore the fortress on your own. There are notices around the site describing the various arches, passages, etc. There is also a booklet with the history of the fortress and maps to buy at the entrance desk. If you have foreign guests with you, there are guide sheets in several languages. <\/p>\n

\nWe organize several different historical fortress games. Everything from guides in period uniforms to the big fortress games with muskets, cannons, drummers and marching soldiers. Marriages<\/h1>\n

Weddings are held in the fortress church inside Carlsten Fortress. Civil weddings are arranged on one of the fortress’ fine ramparts.
