Carlsten Fortress is located on the island of Marstrand, about 45 kilometers northwest of Gothenburg. The first way to get to Ko\u00f6n is by car, bus or boat. Since car traffic is prohibited on Marstrands\u00f6n, you can take the passenger ferry from Ko\u00f6n to Marstrands\u00f6n by car or bus.
