Our fortress game, with marching Carolinians, thunderous musket fire and pungent gunpowder smoke, is a unique and much appreciated experience.
At the King’s Gate, you will be received by the officer who will accompany you to the banquet hall. A soldier conducts a demonstration firing with an 18th-century flintlock musket. As you walk through the fortress, across the windswept courtyard and through narrow arches and battlements, you will learn about its fascinating and brutal history. The Fortress Game is the perfect start to an unforgettable evening.
The description above is our simplest fortress game (option 1). The game can be expanded with drummers, more Carolinian soldiers and echoing salutes with real black powder cannons. You can also have standard bearers and soldiers meet you already down at the quay for a safe escort up to the fortress.
The options below are different variants described here in very simplified terms. Feel free to talk to us and together we will find an option adapted to your wishes. Option 1 is best suited for 10-50 guests. The other fortress games are suitable for up to 400 guests. If you are even more, the group should be divided – we are happy to suggest how.

With the reservation that the weapons may work less well in rain as the black powder risks getting wet. On the above prices 6% VAT will be added.
Option 1: Gathering outside the King’s Gate. A Carolinian officer welcomes the guests and tells them about the history of the fortress. Demonstration shooting with an authentic flintlock musket. The officer accompanies the guests into the fortress during the guided tour.

Option 3: As option 2, plus full crew on a front-loaded 18-pound black powder gun. The gun crew conducts a demonstration firing with all the steps: preparation, cleaning, loading, firing and preparation for the guests. Here it is important to cover your ears!
